#1 Orange County 80’s Band

Radio Royalty is one of Orange County’s most sought after 80’s cover band, but we’re so much more than that. We are the only female fronted cover band in Southern California. We have a true love for the music of the 80’s and all that comes with it. We are also passionate about bringing forth some of the tunes that don’t get played as much in today’s cover bands – female 80’s covers! 

We started our band in the Spring 2020 (during deep COVID-19 lockdown) because we realized something about most 80’s bands today: they’re predominantly all men. And because of that, the audience may only hear 1-2 female tunes. But there are so many female hitmakers that truly defined the era! Whitney Houston, Madonna, Taylor Dayne, Janet Jackson, Cyndi Lauper, Heart! We could go on and on. It was out of deep appreciation for the women who defined the era that Radio Royalty came to life. 

Radio Royalty is 80’s pop music. Not strictly yacht rock or pop metal. That means all of the bells and whistles one would expect: lush vocals, lots of synth keyboards, live saxophone, even the occasional gong or bird tweet! Whatever makes each song authentic, we bring it. We also keep a strict eye on how danceable our music is – you won’t hear us give an 8-minute guitar solo just because. We keep people up and on their feet throughout the show.
